Porkbun sells email as an add-on to a domain. For one domain and one mailbox it is cheaper than us and it is the better buy. The comparison only turns at the second domain.

The line moves at the second domain: Porkbun Email is priced per domain, so two domains is $72 and already past our flat $49, and ten is $360. If you own one domain, buy Porkbun. If you own a portfolio, the arithmetic reverses immediately.

Who should pick what
Pick Porkbun
One domain, one mailbox, registered at Porkbun already. At that shape they are cheaper, the storage is the same order, and having the registrar and the mailbox on one invoice is genuinely simpler. Their free forwarding is also the right answer for a parked domain that only needs to reach an existing inbox.
Pick JustEmails
Two domains or more — that is the whole distinction. Also anyone who needs several real mailboxes rather than one mailbox and a list of forwarding addresses.
The honest take
For the single-domain buyer we are $13 a year more expensive for less domain-level convenience, and no amount of feature comparison changes that. Porkbun is also a registrar people genuinely like, which is worth something a spec table does not capture. Our case only starts at the second domain, and if you are never going to have one, we are not the better purchase.
Common questions
Porkbun is cheaper. Why would I switch?
For one domain, you should not. The reason to switch is the second domain: their email is billed per domain, so each new one adds $36 while ours adds nothing. If a second domain is hypothetical, stay where you are.
What about Porkbun’s free email forwarding?
It is a good product for what it is and we would not talk anyone out of it. It forwards to an inbox you already have; there is no mailbox, so you cannot send from the address without configuring another provider. If receiving is all you need, free is hard to beat.
Porkbun resells Proton Mail — is that the same comparison?
No, and we deliberately do not compare against it. That is Proton’s product sold through Porkbun, at Proton’s pricing and with Proton’s privacy model. Comparing our price to it would be quoting a third party’s numbers under Porkbun’s name.
Do I have to move my domain registration to use JustEmails?
