Does “unlimited domains” actually mean unlimited?＋
Yes. Accounts with 80+ domains sit on the $49 plan without issue. If you get to thousands and start to look like a bulk sender we may reach out about deliverability, but the price does not change.
How is this so much cheaper than Google Workspace?＋
Google Workspace prices per user per month and bundles Docs / Meet / Drive that you probably do not need for email. We only do email, we operate lean infra, and we price annually. That is the whole trick.
What about deliverability? Will my mail hit spam?＋
We run the same SPF / DKIM / DMARC / MTA-STS stack Google does, with per-domain DKIM key rotation and dedicated outbound IP pools segmented by reputation. Deliverability in third-party tests is on par with Workspace.
How is email security handled?＋
Every inbound message runs through Rspamd for spam classification and ClamAV for virus scanning before it lands in your inbox. Outbound is DKIM-signed automatically. TLS 1.2+ enforced on IMAP/SMTP; SASL for client auth. MTA-STS published on every domain we host.
Is my data stored securely?＋
All connections use TLS 1.2+. Sensitive fields we hold on your behalf — external-account credentials, exports you generate — are wrapped with AES-256-GCM before storage. Message bodies and attachments live in DigitalOcean Spaces under the provider's standard access controls; server-side encryption on message payloads is on our roadmap. We process content only as necessary to deliver the service (spam and virus filtering, threading, search indexing) — we never scan for advertising or train models on your email, ever.
Can I send email through JustEmails, or is it receive-only?＋
Both. Every mailbox sends via authenticated SMTP (port 587) or the web composer, up to 500 outbound / day on the base plan. Transactional API sends at api.justemails.app/v1/messages, DKIM-signed and rate-limited per key. There is no separate "sending" upgrade.
What DNS records do I need to set up?＋
Nothing manual if your registrar is one we integrate with (Cloudflare + Namecheap today, more shipping). The Auto-DNS wizard pushes MX, SPF, DKIM (2 selectors), DMARC, MTA-STS, and TLS-RPT once you connect the domain. For every other registrar you get a copy-paste block plus health-check polling until every record verifies green.
How do I migrate from Google Workspace or another provider?＋
The Migration wizard runs a background IMAP sync — full history, folders, and read state — from Google, Fastmail, Zoho (on plans that include IMAP access), or any IMAP host. Your old provider stays live as a fallback until every mailbox verifies. Zero-downtime cutover is typically under an hour of hands-on time; total sync depends on mailbox size.
Can I use my existing email client?＋
Yes — standard IMAP (port 993), SMTP submission (port 587, STARTTLS), and POP3 (port 995). Works with Apple Mail, Outlook, Thunderbird, Mimestream, Airmail, Spark, Canary, Superhuman, and every other IMAP/SMTP client.
Do you support catch-all addresses and aliases?＋
Yes to both. Unlimited aliases per domain and unlimited catch-all rules. You can route anything@yourdomain.com to a single inbox and keep track of which alias was hit.
What happens to my mail if I cancel?＋
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid period. You get a full IMAP export in .mbox format and 30 days after the end date to migrate off. We never hold your data hostage. There are no partial-year refunds — plan the timing accordingly.
Is the $49 truly all-in, or are there hidden add-ons?＋
$49 a year covers unlimited domains, unlimited mailboxes, 10 GB of storage, 500 outbound emails a day over SMTP, and 1,000 transactional API emails a month. Three things are metered on top: storage ($99/yr per 100 GB), transactional API email ($25/yr per 10,000/mo), and teammates ($2/user/month — owner is always free). You never pay for something we did not disclose here.
Do I get charged per teammate?＋
Only if you invite one. The account owner is free forever. Each additional team member is $2 per user per month, prorated. You can grant them owner / admin / member roles with full RBAC.
What if I need more than 10 GB of storage?＋
Add a 100 GB tier for $100 a year. Add as many tiers as you need. Add-ons are non-refundable mid-term (per §3.4 of the Terms) — you can remove a tier at any time and it stops billing at the next renewal. Most solopreneurs live comfortably inside the base 10 GB for years.
Can I send transactional email from my app?＋
Yes. The base plan includes 1,000 API-sent emails a month at api.justemails.app/v1/messages, plus every dashboard action is exposed via MCP at mcp.justemails.app. For higher volume, add tiers of 10,000/month for $25/year each.
